AAC is currently looking for a Chief Systems Engineer to join an already high-performing team of engineers and architects. This position is a key member of the AAC Leadership Team and will be responsible for ensuring deliverable quality and mentoring engineers across all AAC business areas.

The successful candidate will:

• Review deliverables for quality prior to submission to customers.
• Have demonstrated expertise in requirements management; reliability, availability, and maintainability assessments;
• Have demonstrated experience leading and mentoring other engineers and architects across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Have demonstrated expertise in DOE O 413.3B, Phase Six, or DODD 5000.01 Acquisition Lifecycle processes.

This position may be performed remotely from anywhere in the continental US; however, candidates located within commuting distance of Oak Ridge, TN; Aiken, SC; or Amarillo, TX are preferred.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• A Bachelor of Science (BS) in an Engineering Discipline.
• US citizenship, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
• Expert interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience managing acquisitions programs with DOD or DOE acquisition lifecycles (i.e., DOE O 413.3B or DODD 5000.01).
• Extensive knowledge of Systems Engineering Lifecycle and Engineering Logistics disciplines.
• Available to travel up to 50% of the time.
• 15+ years of prior work experience showing progressively increasing responsibility.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• Advanced Degree in Engineering.
• Prior experience within National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) laboratories and sites.
• Familiarity with requirements tools such as IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation and simulation packages.
• Professional Engineering License.
