Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Lead Thermoforming Systems Engineer (Capital Projects) who has a desire to contribute to our clients' success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities for career growth. This position can be based out of our Green Bay, WI office or as a US-Based Remote role.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Lead technical direction for CapEx projects in the thermoformed container production industry.
2. Develop complete thermoforming systems deliverables from concept through construction, including blending, extrusion, forming, and plastics trimming.
3. Ensure safety practices and regulatory compliance through risk mitigation.
4. Prepare and present technical reviews to clients regarding project-related items.
5. Estimate process engineering hours and schedule for proposals.
6. Coordinate with project disciplines, clients, vendors, and suppliers to develop deliverables.
7. Develop equipment specifications and process and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs).
8. Create equipment lists, line lists, and point-of-connection (POC) lists.
9. Collaborate with designers to create drawings.
10. Oversee and quality check engineering work of others.
11. Lead checkout/start-up efforts and provide onsite/remote support during construction.
12. Coach and mentor team members on technological advancements.
13. Travel as needed, approximately 35% annually.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Polymer/Materials Science, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
2. 10+ years of professional experience.

Previous Experience:

1. Engineered Package development including Scope of Work, P&IDs, Specifications & Mechanical Equipment Arrangements.
2. Thermoformed plastics engineering processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with 3D tools such as Navisworks, Plant 3D, VR, and 3D Scans.
2. Experience supporting multi-year strategic production plans.
3. Understanding of plastics properties (PP, PET, PS, PLA, etc.).
4. Ability to work out of a local Foth office.
