Responsibilities
- Provide advice, guidance, and expertise to promote adoption of methods and tools, ensuring adherence to policies and standards. Evaluate, select, and implement appropriate methods and tools at project and team levels, including selection and tailoring in line with standards. Manage reviews of benefits and value, and recommend improvements. Contribute to organizational policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Perform critical administrative tasks for Google Cloud Platform, including management of network perimeter, permissions, and cloud resources used for sensitive clinical data scenarios.
- Collaborate with offshore infrastructure teams to identify improvement areas and drive enhancements.
- Demonstrate creativity and initiative in problem-solving; resolve or facilitate resolution of complex problems.
- Support daily operations across a large Azure-hosted cloud infrastructure platform.
- Lead the Cloud Infrastructure Team, providing escalation and resolution support for senior management.
- Manage a high-level team of Operational Engineers remotely.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to end users, stakeholders, and IT teams.
- Support daily operations for VMWare, Azure, and AWS services.
- Participate in on-call rotations and perform patching and deployments.
- Lead projects for software enhancement, upgrades, or implementations.
- Coordinate support efforts between Infrastructure and other IT teams.
- Oversee change management processes relevant to system engineering.
- Review and monitor source code/versioning management.
- Provide technical leadership and issue ownership across disciplines.
- Engage in strategic planning activities such as capacity planning and roadmap development.
- Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and develop monitoring and alerting processes.
- Identify automation and innovation opportunities, and develop scripted solutions.
- Develop system and support performance metrics using standard tools and methodologies.
- Exhibit leadership qualities through team motivation and training.
- Understand and incorporate CommonSpirit Health’s business processes and routines.
- Manage crisis situations during high-severity incidents.
- This position is remote eligible.
Qualifications
- BA or BS in Computer Science, Technology, or Business discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in IT or infrastructure fields.
- Knowledge of Microsoft and UNIX operating systems.
- Understanding of networking and security technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of storage networks, testing, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform or similar tools.
- Extensive experience with Azure, GCP, and VMware solutions.
- Experience with datacenter design, vendor management, problem management, and deployment tools.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and experience leading teams.
Pay Range
$56.83 - $82.40 per hour
