Butler America Aerospace, LLC. seeks a Principal Systems Engineer in Woburn, MA to drive architecture and requirements for the AN/TPY-2 radar. You will analyze system models, define interfaces, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced radar capabilities.

Responsibilities include leading technical artifacts, verifying performance, and engaging with customers. A Secret clearance is required to start, with on-site work in Massachusetts for a 12-month contract.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
8+ years of relevant engineering experience in radar or missile-defense sensor systems.
Proficiency in MATLAB (including OOP) OR ADA/C/C++ for algorithm development and modeling.
Hands-on experience in system modeling, algorithm design, test vectors, or radar performance analysis.
Strong communication skills and experience leading technical work.
Active and transferable Secret U.S. government clearance required to start.

Responsibilities

Lead development of architectures and system-level requirements for the AN/TPY-2 radar.
Contribute to architectural updates, performance requirements, and verification strategies.
Perform requirements analysis, modeling, and benchmarking to validate performance.
Collaborate with software, integration, and test teams to deliver radar solutions.
Support documentation, technical reviews, and customer engagements.
