Job summary

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer in Andover, MA to support hardware/software integration for Patriot programs at the Patriot Labs. On-site role with travel up to 10% to White Sands Missile Range.

The position requires an active and transferable U.S. government security clearance (Secret) and a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience. You will collaborate across HW, SW, and systems teams to deliver robust test solutions.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with LabVIEW and C/C++, LabVIEW, Python, and/or FORTRAN 77.
• Experience with Linux and/or UNIX.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing subject matter expertise of software programming to support complex software and hardware integration testing and troubleshooting efforts
• Contribute to successful technical execution of complex integration and test events
• Perform daily testing execution and troubleshooting efforts within an engineering laboratory environment
• Develop expertise in program hardware and software interfaces
• Interact, on a technical level, with team members from different engineering disciplines (HW, SW, Mechanical, Systems Integration and Test, etc.).
• Support continuous improvement process by identifying and troubleshooting issues with software and hardware, and clearly documenting all actions and steps taken
• Utilize your working knowledge of L/UNIX to troubleshoot and configure assets to meet customer needs
• Ability to travel domestically up to 10%, to White Sands Missile Range
