Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join the Embedded Infrastructure Team. You will bridge systems engineering, MBSE, and embedded software to define and verify computing platforms for net-generation defense systems.

The role collaborates across software, hardware, cybersecurity, and program leadership, using MBSE and SysML to ensure robust performance throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

Experience in MBSE and SysML modeling for system architectures.
Proven ability to develop and verify MBSE-based designs.
Active Secret security clearance to start.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage system architectures and verification strategies using MBSE.
Create SysML models with Cameo or equivalent tools.
Collaborate with embedded software teams to implement architectures.
Define software/hardware interface requirements for embedded environments.
Support digital engineering through model-based analysis and requirements traceability.
Develop verification and validation plans with full coverage.
Mentor junior systems engineers and participate in reviews.
