Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer or Sr Principal Systems Engineer to join the Embedded Infrastructure Team, supporting the development of mission-critical defense systems. This role bridges systems engineering, embedded software, and MBSE to define, develop, and verify embedded computing platforms.

Qualifications

Active Secret Security Clearance to Start.
Experience with MBSE, SysML, and Cameo Systems Modeler.
Experience in Agile software development teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and verification strategies using MBSE.
Create and maintain SysML models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
Collaborate with embedded software teams to implement architectures.
Define software/hardware interface requirements for embedded environments.
Support digital engineering through MBSE and traceability.
Develop verification and validation plans with full requirements coverage.
Mentor junior systems engineers in best practices.
