Job description

We are currently searching for an enthusiastic and innovative Systems Engineer to work on our System Operations team, supporting and scaling HubSpot’s employee‑servicing servers and third‑party application infrastructure. Our team is technology driven, curious, and passionate about designing reliable, scalable, and efficient systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, installation, maintenance, and operational activities of the company’s internal infrastructure.
• Serve as a technical lead on selected project implementations.
• Develop tools to solve operational problems, such as pulling data from third‑party APIs and expanding automation infrastructure capabilities.
• Communicate regularly with other project stakeholders regarding project activities, including planning, progress, issues, and problem resolution.
• Automate common tasks and fine‑tune different technologies to work together effectively.
• Provide expertise on Windows, Mac, VMware, Linux, AWS, GCP, and third‑party SaaS integrations/APIs (e.g., GSuite, Okta).
• Manage server automation using Ansible and monitoring of servers and applications.

Benefits & Compensation

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on‑target commission for eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan.

• Base salary range: $156,000 – $249,600 USD.
• Potential eligibility for equity (restricted stock units).
• Possibility for overtime pay for eligible roles.
