Job summary

Raytheon, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking an IT Systems Administrator onsite in Forest, MS to deliver Windows-based service management, directory services, and data protection for DoD-classified environments.

You will work with Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance, implement backup/recovery strategies, and maintain 24x7 operations readiness. Candidates must pursue DoD directives within six months and qualify for a U.S. government clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• Experience using Active Directory, VMware vCenter, vSphere, or other virtual computing methods.
• Experience with Windows deployment, administration, security hardening, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration support in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment.
• Manage and maintain core services including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory (AD), and server replication.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex issues involving integration of hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
• Implement and manage data RAID, backup, and recovery technologies.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain compliance with security requirements.
• Install, configure, and document software applications requested by end users.
• Provide user and system documentation, process training, and ongoing technical support.
• Participate in on-call or after-hours system maintenance as required to support 24x7 operations.

What You Will Do:

Qualifications You Must Have:

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and or the company’s performance.
