Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Principal Storage Engineer to lead the design, engineering, automation, reliability, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage platforms. You will own storage strategy across SAN, NAS, networking, and modernization, and mentor senior engineers across a large-scale environment.

You will drive architectural decisions, establish standards, and oversee migrations, DR, and performance initiatives in a hybrid, enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 12+ years managing enterprise storage environments.
• 5+ years in senior architect/leadership roles.
• Deep expertise with SAN technologies and Fiber Channel architectures.
• Extensive NAS and file services experience.
• Strong understanding of storage networking, switches, fabrics, and connectivity.
• Expertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity management.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production environments requiring high availability.
• Strong scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Experience leading infrastructure modernization and migration projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
