AT&T is seeking a highly experienced Principal Storage Engineer to lead the design, engineering, and lifecycle management of enterprise storage platforms. You will guide SAN, NAS, storage networking, and automation efforts across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.

The role requires 12+ years in enterprise storage with strong leadership, scripting, and modernization experience. Office presence is required at multiple locations including Plano, TX and Alpharetta, GA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years managing enterprise storage environments.
• 5+ years in a senior architect or technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise with enterprise SAN technologies and Fibre Channel architectures.
• Extensive experience with NAS platforms and file services.
• Strong scripting and automation with Python/PowerShell/Bash/Ansible.
• Experience leading complex infrastructure modernization and migration projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and strategic direction of enterprise storage platforms and services.
• Define architecture standards, engineering patterns, and operational best practices.
• Evaluate emerging storage technologies and modernization strategies.
• Serve as the highest-level technical escalation point for complex storage issues.
• Drive storage transformation across on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
• Design, implement, and support large-scale Fiber Channel SAN infrastructures.
• Engineer NAS solutions and file services for enterprise workloads.
• Collaborate with network engineering on storage transport design and connectivity.
• Develop automation solutions for provisioning, reporting, and lifecycle management.
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for storage platforms.
• Mentor senior engineers and lead architectural governance.
