Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Operations Engineer to lead production incidents, improve incident processes, and drive reliability improvements for scale and safety across our distributed services. This role, based at Roblox HQ in San Mateo, reports to the Senior Operations Manager and involves mentoring teammates and shaping system architecture.

You will monitor health and capacity, automate routine tasks, and participate in postmortems to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a Site Reliability / similar role.
• Deep knowledge of systems and network infrastructure protocols.
• Experience managing incidents in distributed environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience scripting in Python or Go to automate tasks.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production incidents and drive postmortems.
• Collaborate across teams to troubleshoot complex issues.
