BetMGM LLC is seeking an exceptional analytical leader to join our Sports Analytics team as Principal Sports Analyst. You will set the strategic direction for analytics, serve as the definitive authority on sports wagering data, and drive enterprise-wide analytics frameworks that shape commercial, product, and trading strategy.

This role transforms analytics from reporting into a strategic differentiator for BetMGM's Sports vertical.

Responsibilities

Develop and own analytics strategy for Sports aligned with BetMGM goals.
Define and govern modelling standards, experiments, and measurement.
Lead design of complex analytic models including propensity and segmentation.
Innovate with ML, Bayesian, causal modelling, real-time analytics; oversee tools.
Be the authority on wagering data, market logic, and bet type classification.
Drive data quality with ETL/ELT optimization across data estate.
Scale insights across trading, product, finance, operations, and compliance.
Lead experimentation and econometrics; develop impact models to measure ROI.
Analyse commercial priorities like player economics and pricing changes.
Originate new analytics opportunities; manage workstreams with exec accountability.
Present findings to SLT with compelling commercial narratives.
Advise leadership on data-informed decisions and analytics-led change.
Lead and develop analytics team; mentor on advanced techniques.
Maintain portfolio relationships with executives post-project.
Oversee tool adoption and process improvements in analytics.
Build automation and self-serve analytics to democratize data.
