Job summary

BetMGM LLC is seeking an exceptional Principal Sports Analyst to lead our Sports Analytics team. You will set strategic direction, shape analytics framework, and act as the definitive authority on wagering data, collaborating with trading, product, operations and finance to drive measurable business value.

The role requires deep technical mastery in ML, predictive modelling, and advanced experimentation, paired with executive presence to influence at the highest levels and mentor the analytics

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial experience in analytics, data science, or BI.
• Mastery of SQL, Python (or R) and data visualization tools.
• Proven ability to influence executive decision making at the highest level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the analytics strategy for Sports, aligning with corporate goals.
• Define methodological standards for modelling, experimentation and quality.
• Lead design and delivery of high‑impact models including propensity and segmentation.
• Innovate with ML, Bayesian inference, causal modelling and real‑time analytics.
• Be the senior authority on wagering data structures and market logic.
• Drive data quality initiatives and scalable ETL/ELT across sports data estate.
• Operationalise insights across trading, product, finance, and compliance.
• Champion statistical experimentation and econometrics to quantify ROI.
• Present findings to SLT with clear commercial narratives.
• Mentor analysts and shape the data analytics community.
