The Chicago Lighthouse for People Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired is seeking a Principal for the Children’s Development Center in Chicago, IL. This leadership role directs curriculum, instruction, staff development and compliance with state and federal guidelines to ensure high-quality education for students with diverse needs.

The Principal will recruit, supervise and evaluate staff, manage the school budget and partnerships with referring districts, and lead a culture of collaboration,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education from an accredited college.
• Minimum 5 years successful teaching experience, preferably in special education.
• Administrative experience required.

Responsabilités

• Lead curriculum and instruction for students with vision-related needs.
• Direct staff recruitment, supervision and performance assessments.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines for therapeutic day schools.
