Job summary

Walmart is seeking a senior mobile architect to define AI-powered experiences for its iOS and Android apps in Sunnyvale, CA. You will drive patterns across conversational, generative UI, multimodal and agentic systems.

You will mentor engineers, shape reusable mobile frameworks, and lead cross-team architecture reviews to raise the technical bar across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field plus 5+ years software engineering experience.
• 7 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
• Deep experience building large-scale native iOS and/or Android applications.
• Expertise in Swift/SwiftUI and/or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose and modern mobile architecture.
• Track record of designing reusable platforms, frameworks, or capabilities used across teams.
• Experience defining technical strategy and leading complex cross-organizational initiatives.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, performance, reliability, and mobile/backend architecture.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, conversational, multimodal, or agentic systems desirable.
• Strong product instincts and ability to translate emerging technology into intuitive experiences.
• Proven technical leadership, influence, and mentorship at scale.
