Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced AI software architect to lead the design and deployment of AI-driven systems across on-site client environments. You will translate field challenges to product teams and guide adoption, architect complex solutions, and oversee multiple engineering disciplines.

You will work with cloud and on-prem deployments (AWS, GCP, Azure), optimize performance, and ensure integration with enterprise tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
Advanced degree strongly preferred for senior roles.
Experience with training and fine-tuning AI models is highly desirable.
Exposure to Nvidia CUDA toolkit is a plus.
Experience with MLOps and deploying AI/ML models on-prem and in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Strong programming skills and knowledge of software architecture.

Responsibilities

Work on-site or closely with customer teams to remove technical blockers and guide adoption.
Translate field challenges back to core product and research teams to improve foundational models.
Design and test AI-driven software assignments in customer environments.
Establish requirements for complex software design projects and define project scope and objectives.
Architect and design highly complex AI-driven systems aligned with organizational goals and technical standards.
Lead and participate in all phases of software development projects, including in-process and final inspections.
Develop innovative programs, technologies, and solutions and document methodologies for broader team use.
Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering disciplines and influence program direction and outcomes.
Maintain and deploy AI-powered applications on Edge Devices and Android platforms.
Create data pipelines to on-premises servers for AI processing.
Exercise judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to deliver effective solutions.
Network with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and customers, to coordinate efforts and achieve project goals.
Represent the organization as a technical expert and principal customer contact on critical projects.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree
5+ years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree
Knowledge or previous projects in training and fine tuning AI models is highly desired
Exposure to Nvidia CUDA toolkit
Experience with MLOps and deploying AI/ML models on-prem and in cloud environment (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise tools and APIs
Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages and software architecture
Deep understanding of software design patterns, system level programming, performance optimization techniques, and adopting GenAI in the Software Development Lifecycle
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with experience tackling highly complex technical challenges
Familiarity with competitor products and industry trends
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across organizational boundaries
Experience developing innovative solutions and technologies to meet evolving business and customer needs
Travel is required
