Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience developing complex software products.
• 8+ years of programming in Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or other public cloud environments.
• Experience with relational databases such as Postgres.
• Deep backend expertise and a track record of scaling production systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the engineering face of the team and trusted technical leader.
• Balance technical rigor with pragmatism in engineering decisions.
• Keep the team moving and surface blockers before they become delays.
• Shape team dynamics and model judgment and accountability.
• Raise the performance of the team through code reviews and mentorship.
• Design and ship agentic investigation capabilities.
• Own the team's technical architecture and influence direction.
