Elastic is seeking a Principal Software Developer to join the Elasticsearch - Search team. You will shape technical direction, design and implement new search features, and resolve complex bugs in a globally distributed environment.

You will collaborate across continents with engineers, reviewers, and community members, writing idiomatic Java and contributing to the vector search capabilities of Elasticsearch.

Qualifications

• Experience with search relevance and vector databases at scale.
• Solid Java proficiency and concurrency basics.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end in a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to deliver industry-leading search features.
