Job summary

Hidden Jobs is seeking a principal-level engineer for a product team building engineering-intelligence software for developers. You will work on a platform integrating with dozens of tools, ingesting telemetry, and turning data into actionable metrics.

Qualifications

12+ years building scalable distributed Java applications.
Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Strong understanding of how resilient distributed software is built, deployed, and operated.
Experience with Agile, short-release cycles and production-grade software.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain production software in a Java-based environment.
Author functional specifications and design documents for new features and major changes.
Take ownership of key subsystems, including delivery quality and ramp-up on complex code.
Build scalable backend services that process large event volumes for rapid feedback loops.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues across distributed, cloud-hosted systems.
Collaborate with reliability engineering, DevOps, and cross-functional partners; participate in peer reviews.
