Job summary

Cynaxus LLC. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead bespoke application projects for regulated industries. You will own engagements end-to-end, shaping architecture, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring successful deliveries.

You will mentor 3–7 senior engineers, drive secure coding practices, and communicate with client executives to align technical work with business goals. Remote-first, US-focused delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in technical leadership.
• Experience leading small teams (3-7 senior engineers) on client engagements.
• Deep TypeScript/JavaScript expertise with React at scale and Python backends.
• Strong communication and ability to present to client executives.
• Proven track record delivering secure code in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements end-to-end: discovery, architecture, build, deploy, handoff.
• Architect and build bespoke applications, integrations, and modernizations.
• Mentor senior engineers and ensure security reviews pass first time.
• Serve as primary technical contact for client executives and sponsors.
