Job summary

Verizon Communications is seeking a Principal Engineer of Software Development to provide technical leadership for design and implementation of scalable software solutions primarily using Java Spring Boot and React. You will mentor teams and contribute to the Customer Experience Platform and FiOS Order management platform.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience.
6+ years of relevant experience in software development.
Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot ecosystem.
Experience with microservices and RESTful API design.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of large-scale, distributed systems.
Implement high-quality software using Java and Spring Boot.
Design, develop, and secure APIs with Apigee.
Use Kibana to monitor and analyze logs and performance metrics.
Manage code using Git and enforce best practices.
Provide technical guidance and establish coding standards and processes.
Implement CI/CD build and deployment automation.
Collaborate with architects, product managers, and stakeholders.
Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize scalability.
Troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
