Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a technically seasoned data platform lead to drive the strategy and execution of data initiatives across platforms and data domains.

The role focuses on building scalable lakehouse architectures, governance, and end-to-end data lifecycle practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid Phoenix-based setup.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of data engineering experience with cross-team technical leadership.
• Advanced knowledge of Spark, Flink, Airflow, dbt, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hudi, or equivalent lakehouse technologies.
• Experience designing batch and streaming architectures using Kafka or equivalent.
• Experience with data governance, lineage, quality, and data-contract practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including architecture documentation.

• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to engineers and review work products for major initiatives.

Overview

Job Description

Provide technical leadership across teams within an assigned data platform or data-product domain. Own technical objectives and roadmaps with a timeframe of at least one year, contribute technical input to department planning, and lead major data initiatives involving detailed analysis, work delegation, and review.

The role reports to our Store Support Office in Phoenix, AZ, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday.
