Job summary

Paycor is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to own design and delivery of client/server web applications and cloud services within an Agile team. You will design, review, modify, test, and deploy software across platforms, mentoring teammates and contributing to architecture and data design.

You should have 5+ years in software development, strong DB, REST/SOAP, .NET stack, and SaaS experience. You will drive technical excellence, participate in builds, and help shape Paycor's future using

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field preferred with 5+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL, Oracle or MySQL.
• Expertise in relational database concepts and data storage technologies.
• Experience in SaaS environments and Agile development teams.
• Proficiency with REST, WCF and SOAP; front-end frameworks such as ASP.Net MVC/WebForms, Angular/React.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, availability, and scalability of applications.
• Collaborate with Scrum Master and Product Management for roadmaps and progress.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Lead integration across products, platforms, and environments.
• Participate in unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Drive build/deploy processes and pursue new technologies.
