Job summary
Paylocity, a leading cloud-based HR and payroll software provider, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our Product & Technology team in a fully remote US role. You will design modular software, drive architecture decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver scalable solutions.
With at least 5 years of experience and a BS in CS, you will mentor juniors, improve CI/CD, and champion best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Proven track record leading significant technical initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborative mindset with ability to influence peers.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement modular, maintainable software solutions.
- Lead feature and epic design discussions with cross-functional teams.
- Drive technical decisions aligned with business objectives.
- Identify and resolve ambiguities through analysis and collaboration.
- Own medium to large-scale projects from conception to delivery.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans.
