Job summary

Moove AV is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to own a brand-new autonomous mobility platform powered by GenAI, LLMs, and real-time visual intelligence. You will start hands-on and grow into long-term technical ownership and mentorship as the platform matures.

You’ll design core architecture, set standards, and collaborate with product and depot teams to deliver scalable, production-ready systems from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 10+ years building cloud-native backend or platform systems.
• Proven track record delivering greenfield products or platforms.
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems in modern cloud environments.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into production-ready systems.
• Strong fundamentals in design, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Comfort in high-ownership, early-stage environments.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design the core architecture, select tech stack, and write foundational production code for a new autonomous fleet platform.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and depot teams to translate evolving requirements into robust systems.
• Influence platform features and architecture, and drive AI/LLM best practices.
• Build agentic APIs to deliver low latency, scalable cloud services and device software.
• Design for reliability, performance, and maintainability from day one.
• Set engineering standards and technical decision processes.
• Onboard, mentor, and grow new team members as the platform scales.
