CVS Health Digital is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to define and drive the technical direction for mobile and enterprise platforms, partnering with product, architecture, and engineering leadership to make pragmatic design decisions.

The role remains hands-on with critical-path systems, mentors engineers, and translates prototypes into scalable, production-grade platforms with focus on reliability, security, performance, and operability from day one.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on information technology experience in systems analysis, design, development, and program development.
• 7+ years of development experience in Java, Swift, Swift UI, and Kotlin.
• 5+ years designing scalable, modular mobile architectures and long-term technical decisions across platforms.
• 5+ years managing stakeholders' requirements and technical solutions.
• 3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation experience.
• 3+ years setting engineering standards, mentoring senior engineers, and influencing mobile strategy.
• 1+ years of software development with AI technologies, Generative AI/LLMs and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks.
• 1+ years of experience with Flutter.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence engineering direction.

Responsibilities

• Architect (40%): lead technical direction, standards, and architecture reviews; influence across the department.
• Visionary & Strategist (10%): develop multi-year roadmaps, align with enterprise tech plans, and justify new tools.
• Standard Setter (5%): lead standards across the Specialty Dispensing stack and related frameworks.
• Technical Program Leader (40%): serve as senior contributor on strategic initiatives and define project groupings.
• Process Development (5%): drive DevSecOps maturity, shift-left testing, and CI/CD tooling adoption.
