Job summary

Insight Global in Raleigh, NC seeks a Principal Engineer, Reporting/BI to lead financial reporting and BI for an enterprise equity-management platform. This hands-on IC will design and optimize Oracle PL/SQL calculations and contribute C#/.NET functionality for data entry and report execution.

You will work with a global scrum team, apply AI-assisted tooling, and own complex features from design through release, with emphasis on accuracy, performance, and auditability.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of hands-on software engineering in SQL development, reporting, or BI in enterprise SaaS environments.
• Expert Oracle SQL/PL-SQL with complex queries and performance tuning.
• Proven experience designing financial calculation logic for historical reporting and forecasting.
• Strong Oracle performance-tuning—execution plans, indexes, hints, query optimization.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau/Logi Analytics/Cognos).
• Proficiency in C#/.NET for UI and data-entry tasks.
• Ability to validate data accuracy and auditability end-to-end.
• Familiar with AI-enabled development tools and CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication in multi-time zone teams.

Responsibilities

• Own reporting and calculation features from requirements to release.
• Write, optimize, and review production Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
• Design complex financial calculations for historical reporting and forecasting.
• Analyze and optimize expensive queries using Oracle performance techniques.
• Contribute C#/.NET UI and application-tier code for reports.
• Build enterprise reporting with Logi Analytics data models.
• Ensure accuracy and auditability across resting and forecast data.
• Collaborate on data models, architecture, and technical standards.
• Adopt AI tooling in development and code review processes.
• Work with global teams to deliver on priorities.
