CVS Health is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to lead architectural initiatives across cloud-native platforms, data, and AI-driven solutions within the DDAT organization. You will shape scalable systems, guide cross-functional teams, and deliver high-impact digital health experiences for millions of consumers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of software industry experience.
• 7+ years leading enterprise-scale solution design and architecture initiatives across multiple value streams.
• 7+ years hands-on experience with Java, Python, Node.js, Angular, and ReactJS.
• 7+ years of experience designing cloud-native microservices-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 5+ years of experience designing modern APIs and RESTful services.
• 5+ years' experience designing and developing complex systems with a disciplined approach.
• 5+ years of demonstrated communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on implementation of reference architecture solutions that demonstrate best-in-class user experiences.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, lead POC initiatives, and develop architectural recommendations.
• Develop solutions that are well engineered, flexible, resilient, operable, maintainable, and deliverable on schedule.
• Author white papers, guides, how-tos, and technical documentation explaining architectural guidelines and direction.
• Mentor architects and engineers to foster technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Define and validate Non-Functional Requirements, including performance, scalability, availability, resiliency, security, and observability.
• Work with stakeholders to arrive at optimal business and technology solutions.
