Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a hands-on Principal Software Development Engineer to join our DDAT-enabled Consumer Experience and Analytics team. You will lead strategic architectural initiatives, build cloud-native microservices, and advance AI-powered health experiences for hundreds of millions of customers.

You will collaborate with product, platform, and DevOps teams, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, observable solutions aligned with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements (PII/PHI).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural initiatives across value streams and ARTs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive POC initiatives.
• Develop scalable, well-engineered solutions with strong security and observability.
• Author technical documentation and guidelines for internal developers.
• Mentor architects and engineers to foster innovation and excellence.
• Define and validate non-functional requirements (performance, availability, etc.).
• Collaborate with stakeholders across product, platform, and DevOps.
