Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to guide architecture and technology strategy within the DDAT ecosystem. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions that transform member access to health information and personalized support across the healthcare journey.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and platform teams to drive scalable architectures, microservices, and secure data handling for PII/PHI.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software industry with leadership in enterprise-scale design.
• Experience designing cloud-native, microservices-based solutions on GCP.
• Strong background in APIs, RESTful services, and modern architectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on reference architecture solutions with strong UX across platforms.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead POC initiatives to accelerate innovation.
• Develop well-engineered, resilient solutions delivered on schedule.
• Author technical documentation and guidelines for internal developers.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline

Master's degree is a plus
