Job summary

IPC Systems, a global fintech company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our hybrid NYC team. You will lead development of scalable Java/J2EE applications, RESTful services, and OpenAPI specifications, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with product management.

You will champion AI-assisted development, implement secure DevOps practices, and deploy containerized microservices on Kubernetes with Helm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years as a senior software engineer and 5+ years in technical leadership.
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and OpenAPI specifications.
• Experience with containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Helm.
• Proven ability to design scalable, high-performance distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Use AI coding agents daily to accelerate design, implementation, and delivery.
• Operate in agentic workflow loops with clear success criteria.
• Create and maintain reusable AI automation assets.
• Standardize high-throughput workflows with AI skills and playbooks.
• Use AI-assisted code review and change validation to improve PR throughput.
• Integrate AI workflows with engineering systems (Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket).
• Manage AI context to maintain accuracy on large codebases.
• Apply secure AI usage practices and guardrails.
• Lead and mentor teams; collaborate with stakeholders.
• Develop data persistence with MySQL and secure replication.
