Themis Insight is hiring a Principal Software Developer (Java, JavaScript, Docker) to work in the Ft. Meade, MD vicinity. This role requires TS/SCI with a polygraph and involves designing, developing, and testing software for government-grade systems.

The role emphasizes leadership of large-scale software projects, system integration, and modern development practices across Linux/UNIX environments with Java, XML/XSD, and middleware technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering required; a bachelor’s plus additional experience may substitute.
• Fifteen (15) years experience in software application design and development with coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the lifecycle.
• Twelve (12) years experience leading teams of software design and development for collection systems and components.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, troubleshoots and analyzes routine, complicated and difficult software programs for computer-based systems.
• Develop customer requirements into software specifications that can be implemented.
• Maintain/modify software code to add features, fix errors, and improve performance.
