Continuum Resource Network is seeking a Founding Principal Engineer in New York City to shape the platform from the ground up. You will own architecture, drive AI-enabled features, and partner closely with the CEO to align technology with business goals.

Ideal candidates combine hands-on execution with strategic leadership in an early-stage, regulated healthcare tech environment, and will help build a premier in-house engineering team over the next year.

Qualifications

• 6–15 years of professional full-stack engineering experience.
• Recent experience as a founding engineer or one of the first five engineers at a venture-backed startup, Big Tech experience welcome in combination with startup exposure.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping production applications using TypeScript, Node.js, React, and AWS.
• Experience at Staff or Principal IC level with ownership from architecture through production.
• Experience in regulated environments (healthcare/fintech) with security, privacy, and compliance awareness.
• Strong product sense and ability to make UX, feature, and technical decisions without detailed specs.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous, early-stage settings.
• Genuine interest in improving pediatric mental health care with a meaningful mission.
• Active GitHub/profile portfolio demonstrating engineering depth.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup with three days per week in Union Square, New York City.

Responsabilités

• Own technical architecture and implementation: develop production-grade code solving complex problems across telehealth, EHR, dashboards, and AI features.
• Partner directly with the CEO to translate needs into technical solutions and make independent product decisions.
• Lead engineering execution and establish standards, code reviews, and quality practices during offshore-to-in-house transition.
• Drive AI adoption to accelerate development and enhance product capabilities.
• Build the in-house engineering organization over the next 6–12 months.
• Make pragmatic technical decisions balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Shape the product by owning features and end-to-end systems from user needs to deployment.
