Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics in Nashville seeks a Principal Software Engineer to shape technical strategy across engineering. You will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, translate business and clinical goals into a technical vision, and lead cross-team efforts to raise the bar on our digital product suite for clinicians and members.

Qualifications

• Visionary technologist with experience in systems, architecture, and design.
• History of setting technical strategy and aligning multiple teams.
• Experience defining architectural standards and mentoring engineers.
• Deep understanding of front end, APIs, and back-end services.
• Hands-on with React; mobile app delivery to app stores; React Native a plus.
• Experience hosting services on AWS and applying AI in product development.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and working in fast-paced, hypergrowth environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term technical strategy and translate business goals into a technical vision.
• Define architectural standards and drive cross-team architectural initiatives.
• Advise engineering leadership and executives with strategic recommendations.
• Explore early-stage ideas and de-risk future initiatives.
• Coach and mentor senior engineers; foster inter-team collaboration.
• Drive AI adoption across engineering and products; champion innovation.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support production incidents.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with product, clinical, and business teams to translate goals into architecture.
