Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) II to drive automated testing, framework maintenance, and quality assurance within the Meerkat automation effort on the Compute Team.

You will lead the design of scalable, distributed testing tools, mentor engineers, and shape performance criteria, CI/CD pipelines, and hardware validation standards for reliable cloud infrastructure across global deployments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate explicit knowledge of high level hardware and software performance objectives.
• Process performance telemetry data to build predictive models and actionable insights.
• Experience with backend automation using Python/Go and Linux/Bash scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, distributed testing frameworks and automated benchmarking tools.
• Mentor a team of engineers and define technical vision for performance engineering and validation.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure quality across platforms.
• Define and enforce performance criteria, SLAs, and latency targets for global deployments.
• Scale CI/CD pipelines to support automated regression and performance testing.
