Akamai Technologies, Inc. in Lincoln, Nebraska, is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test II to lead the test strategy for Akamai's custom Linux kernel and to design scalable testing infrastructure.

You will validate hardware compatibility, performance, and security across a global AI and Compute platform and work with a team of senior engineers to improve quality standards. You will develop test suites for new hardware designs, port modifications to newer kernel versions, and help

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Solid scripting experience (Python/Shell/Perl) with C
• Understanding of Linux kernel internals and hardware drivers
• Familiarity with x86 and server-class arm64 architectures
• Experience with Linux kernel and hardware debugging tools and CI frameworks

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and scale advanced automated test frameworks to validate the hardware compatibility, performance, reliability, and security of Akamai's Linux kernel and OS imaging process
• Develop test suites validating new hardware designs; port Akamai modifications to newer Linux kernel versions and VM infrastructure
• Debugging, isolating, and troubleshooting complex, low-level system issues in testing and simulated production environments
• Architecting and enhancing existing build and test automation infrastructure to enable robust CI and testing
• Collaborate with senior engineers to raise quality standards within the testing organization
