Job summary

Tempus seeks an Associate Principal Scientist, PharmaR&D to design and execute research projects using clinico-genomics data and real-world evidence to advance cancer precision medicine. You will apply ML/statistical models to big data and guide algorithm development for Tempus’ platform.

The role requires strong R/Python/SQL skills, a track record in publications, and effective communication with clients and partners across PharmaR&D. Location flexibility includes major U.S.

Qualifications

• PhD holder with 4+ years of pharmaceutical/analytic experience preferred.
• Masters with 6+ years of relevant experience acceptable.
• Expertise in observational real-world data and time-to-event methodologies.
• Proficiency in R, Python, SQL; strong publication record.

Responsibilities

• Lead observational real-world data analyses for oncology projects.
• Design, implement, and validate complex survival analyses.
• Communicate findings clearly to external stakeholders and clients.
• Collaborate with Research, Engineering & Data Science teams to deliver computational solutions.
• Partner with pharma clients to translate evidence into actionable insights.
• Stay current with industry trends to improve research methodologies.
