Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in immunology, pulmonary biology, cell biology, molecular biology, pharmacology, translational medicine, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant pharmaceutical, biotech, postdoctoral, or translational research experience.
• Strong immunology expertise with connection to lung involvement and autoimmune ILD.
• Hands-on experience with disease-relevant in vitro/ex vivo assays and translational model systems.
• Ability to lead and mentor scientists in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute immunology-focused scientific leadership in autoimmune disease biology and rheumatology-associated lung involvement.
• Design and apply disease-relevant translational assays and ex vivo/in vitro models.
• Translate mechanistic insights into actionable experimental plans for project strategy.
• Serve as translational biology representative on discovery and development teams.
• Mentor and guide scientists, contractors, and matrixed collaborators; manage direct reports as assigned.
• Prepare technical reports, translational summaries, and presentations; communicate data to project teams and leadership.
