Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in the United States seeks a Principal Scientist, Imaging Analytics to join Interventional Oncology (INTO). You will lead the scientific application of medical imaging AI across early-phase oncology trials, transforming trial scans into evidence-based decisions.

You will bridge data science, clinical development, and partnerships, publishing findings and advancing imaging metrics. The role can be based in New Brunswick, NJ; Spring House, PA; or Boston, MA.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AI applications on trial imaging data (CT, MRI, PET) for quantitative imaging measures and AI-derived endpoints.
• Collaborate internally and externally to drive scientific innovation in foundational imaging AI for oncology drug development, including segmentation, radiomics, and multimodal predictive modeling.
• Translate imaging-derived evidence into actionable insights by converting complex quantitative findings into clear scientific narratives for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Provide scientific leadership to external partnerships — imaging AI vendors, CROs, biomarker companies, and academic centers.
• Publish and present scientific innovation at top conferences (e.g., MICCAI, AACR, RSNA).
