Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Spring House, PA seeks a Principal Scientist in High-Content Imaging to advance therapeutic discovery across Immunology, Neuroscience, and Oncology portfolios. You will design end-to-end imaging workflows on 2D/3D models, develop assays, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive data-driven insights.

The role requires hands-on lab work, development of new assays, and strong communication with cross-functional teams. A Ph.D.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Systems biology, Human biology or related discipline is required.
4+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
Deep, technical high-content imaging expertise required with end-to-end workflows.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Ability to work across disciplines and translate high-dimensional readouts into biology insights.

Responsibilities

Apply state-of-the-art drug discovery approaches in a multidisciplinary team.
Develop, optimize, and validate high-content imaging and other assays for Immunology, Neuroscience, Oncology programs.
Establish and refine new molecular assays and workflow development.
Collaborate with teams to translate readouts into actionable biological insights.
Work with CROs/external partners to ensure data quality and timely deliverables.
Support data workflows including data mapping, QC, and analytical handoffs to computational teams.
