Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Principal Scientist, R&D – Orthopedics & Spine, Growth factors role, located in West Chester, PA or Raynham, MA. You will lead as a subject matter expert on growth factors and bone graft substitutes, guiding external and internal teams for global launches and lifecycle management.

You will own partnerships, drive development programs, and present at conferences. Strong background in regulatory strategy, biomaterials, and collaboration with surgeons is required.

Competenze

• Advanced degree in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive R&D or technical leadership in med devices/biotech/pharma.
• Documented expertise in growth factors and osteoinductive materials.
• Experience in spine or orthopedic trauma workflows, fusion criteria, and bone healing biology.
• Strong regulatory knowledge (FDA) for biologics and combination products.

Mansioni

• Lead as primary SME and technical contact for CG BIO partnership across global launches and lifecycle.
• Optimize Novosis formulations and procedural kits ensuring release kinetics and bioactivity.
• Translate surgeon needs into technical specs for CG BIO concepts.
• Drive collaborations to develop high-priority ideas with development, clinical, regulatory and reimbursement plans.
• Educate and train global sales teams on rhBMP-2 and bone graft substitutes.
• Engage with surgeons to gather feedback and conduct surgical training labs.
