You will own numerical methods, build and verify models, and document processes while collaborating with engineering and research teams. Experience applying AI/ML to scientific software is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in science or engineering with outstanding academic performance.
• Broad experience with applied math and numerical methods for solving science and engineering problems.
• Earth sciences or civil engineering background, preferably including contaminant transport modeling.
• Extensive C++ programming experience; familiarity with numerical libraries is a plus.
• Proven ability to design and implement practical numerical solutions to real-world problems.
• Good communications skills; must write effectively and enjoy teamwork.
• Experience developing Windows desktop applications; data science tools such as MATLAB, R, or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Own numerical and algorithmic development for modeling and simulation components.
• Build and verify models within the state-of-the-art modeling framework.
• Document methodologies and transfer knowledge across the team.
• Collaborate with software engineering and support teams to align on implementation.
• Apply machine learning to accelerate or extend traditional numerical methods.
