Job summary

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in science or engineering with outstanding academic performance.
• Strong background in applied mathematics and numerical methods for science/engineering.
• Earth sciences or civil engineering background, preferably with contaminant transport modeling.
• Extensive C++ programming experience with numerical libraries.
• Ability to design and implement practical numerical solutions to real-world problems.
• Good written and verbal communication; enjoy teamwork.
• Experience developing and supporting Windows desktop applications; exposure to MATLAB, R, or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineering to integrate numerical capabilities into the modeling framework.
• Partner with senior engineers to formalize modeling QA and support methodology.
• Apply ML to accelerate or extend traditional numerical simulations.
• Identify opportunities to modernize algorithmic infrastructure.
• Document developments and transfer knowledge across the team.
