Accounting Search seeks a highly qualified researcher to own numerical methods, build advanced simulation models, and verify correctness within a leading water resources modeling framework. You will collaborate with software engineers and a founding engineer to formalize QA, transfer knowledge, and advance capabilities.

Responsibilities include integrating new numerical techniques, applying machine learning to accelerate simulations, and modernizing infrastructure while communicating results

Qualificações

• Masters or PhD in science or engineering with outstanding academics.
• Strong background in applied math and numerical methods.
• Earth sciences or civil engineering background with contaminant transport modeling preferred.
• Extensive C++ programming experience with numerical libraries is a plus.
• Ability to design and implement practical numerical solutions to real-world problems.
• Good communication, writing skills, and teamwork.
• Experience with data science tools such as MATLAB, R, or Tableau is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with software engineering to integrate new numerical capabilities into the modeling framework.
• Work with the founding engineer to formalize modeling, QA, and support methodology.
• Build and verify numerical models and algorithms for water resources and environmental simulations.
• Document processes and transfer knowledge to the team.
• Explore machine learning to accelerate or extend traditional numerical methods.
• Identify opportunities to modernize the algorithmic infrastructure.
