Role: Principal SAP Technology Architect

Remote with some travel as needed.

As a Senior Technology Architect, you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluate solution options, and make recommendations. You will create detailed design, architecture, and process artifacts, and implement deployment plans. You will also support knowledge transfer to provide value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 13 years of experience with Information Technology.
• This position may require travel and/or relocation.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 13 years of experience in SAP Client/Server enterprise support for multiple Business Units utilizing advanced technical knowledge.
• End-to-End Conversion expertise for all technical topics.
• Modern ABAP Development for S/4HANA.
• Clean Core with BTP.
• Architect and execute complex solutions involving requirements analysis, prototyping, designing, and developing solutions.
• Expertise in SAP Enhancements technologies including Classical Enhancements, BADI, User Exits, BTE, and the new Enhancement framework.
• Experience with BADI, Enhancement points, Sections, and spots.
• Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP, MVC architecture, and ABAP object design patterns.
• Proven experience in building integrations around SAP R/3 using ALE/EDI/IDOC/BAPI/SAP Proxies.
• Experience developing ABAP RICEFs (Reports, ALV Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, workflows, Enhancements, Forms like SMARTFORMS, SAP Script).
• Experience in SAP end-to-end implementation, rollout, support, and upgrades.
• Skills in performance tuning, testing, and object optimization using tools like SQL trace, Runtime analysis, SCI.
• Good working knowledge of ABAP Dictionary tools.
• Experience scheduling and analyzing background jobs.
• Ability to coordinate between onsite functional teams, clients, and offshore technical teams.
• Working knowledge of agile methodologies is mandatory.
• Exposure to S/4HANA implementation projects.
• Experience with ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Experience working with CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services.
• Understanding of SAP BTP and its environments (ABAP environment, Cloud Foundry).
• Experience with side-by-side extensibility on BTP.
• Knowledge of the Clean Core approach and managing custom code dependencies.
• Experience developing Fiori applications, including OData services and Fiori Elements framework.
• Ability to gather requirements, prepare technical specifications, develop code, perform unit testing, and coordinate testing activities.
• Proactive in performance optimization and providing user training.
