Principal Architect DataOps for Medtronic, Inc. Minneapolis, MN. Responsible for building high quality, scalable and resilient distributed systems that power Medtronic Diabetes analytics platform and data pipelines. Manage data and AWS infrastructure and operations within organization. Work with cross-functional teams to include data scientists, data engineers, and IT professionals to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of data. Monitor and troubleshoot system performance to ensure high availability and efficient resource utilization. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architectures for performance efficiency, security, operational excellence, reliability, and cost efficiency. Ensure security and compliance standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle. Leverage emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in DevOps, DataOps, and cloud computing. Lead automation initiatives to streamline manual processes and enhance productivity across the organization; Engineer Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines, integrate testing and monitor frameworks to enable rapid and continuous software delivery. Design and develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Cloud Formation to ensure consistent and reproducible deployments across all the environments; Architect, design, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions multi-cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks; Evaluate and enhance system reliability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions. Ensure data governance policies and procedures are followed, including data privacy and security regulations by implementing data access controls, data masking, and data encryption techniques. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement highly secured and robust network architectures across multi-cloud platforms. *Multiple positions available. *Position is open to telecommuting from anywhere in the United States. #LI-DNI.
Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related engineering or technical field. Requires five (5) years of experience as a Lead Cloud Engineer, DevOps/Data Ops Engineer, Application Developer, or any related Software Engineering occupation.
Must possess at least five (5) years’ experience in all of the following: Automation initiatives to streamline manual processes and enhance productivity across the organization; Improve the performance efficiency, security, operational excellence, reliability, and cost efficiency; Software delivery though Engineering CI/CD pipelines, integrating testing and monitoring frameworks; Infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools to include Terraform and CloudFormation; Designing scalable solutions across multi-cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake and Databricks; System reliability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions; Data privacy and security regulations by implementing data access controls, data masking, and data encryption techniques; Design and implement multi-cloud secured network architectures.
The position reports to Medtronic, Inc., 710 Medtronic Parkway NE, Minneapolis, MN 55432 and is open to telecommuting from anywhere in the United States.
Salary: $174,300 to $190,800 per year
