Principal SAP Technology Architect – Role Summary

This role demands a deep understanding of SAP’s evolving technology landscape, especially with S/4HANA, SAP BTP, modern ABAP development, and Clean Core principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement complex, scalable SAP solutions across client landscapes.
• Lead SAP S/4HANA technical conversions, modernization initiatives, and Clean Core transformations using SAP BTP.
• Design and develop ABAP-based applications using advanced OOP, RAP, MVC, and Fiori Elements.
• Develop RICEFW objects, implement enhancement techniques (BADI, User Exits, Enhancement Points), and integrate SAP with external systems (IDOC, BAPI, Proxies).
• Collaborate with stakeholders and offshore teams for technical specification, development, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct performance tuning using ST05, ATC, SCI, and parallel processing techniques.
• Leverage SAP tools and frameworks (CDS Views, AMDP, OData, REST APIs) to enable modern user experiences and side-by-side extensions.

Required Qualifications

• 13+ years of IT experience, with strong SAP ABAP technical and architecture background.
• Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA, ABAP RESTful Application Programming (RAP), and SAP Fiori development.
• In-depth understanding of SAP BTP environments, extensibility options, and Clean Core strategies.

Preferred Skills

• Object-Oriented ABAP, MVC patterns, ABAP Dictionary, and job scheduling.
• Tools: ST22, ST05, ATC, SCI, SLIN.
• SAP Enhancement Framework, VOFM routines, and Fiori Elements framework.
• Experience in custom code migration, optimization, and cloud readiness.
