As Principal Developer, you'll lead technically, write code, review it, and mentor others while partnering with Product Owners to turn complex business needs into scalable, secure solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with 7+ years hands-on Salesforce development.
• Strong expertise in Apex and Lightning Web Components, Flows, APIs, SOQL/SOSL, and security.
• Proven track record mentoring developers and leading code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud.
• Remain hands-on with coding, integrations, testing, deployments, and production support.
• Lead code reviews and mentor other Salesforce developers.
• Partner with Product Owners to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Participate in platform governance, release planning, and roadmaps.
• Support the move to Data Cloud and contribute to AI initiatives.

As Principal Developer, you'll be a senior, hands-on technical leader - writing code, reviewing it, and mentoring others - while also partnering directly with Product Owners to turn complex business needs into scalable, secure solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud.This is a lead technical contributor role, not a people-management position. You'll report to the Platform Owner, Salesforce, and work closely with the wider Application Development team. This position may be based in eligible jurisdictions in the United States.## **What You'll Do**1. Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud.2. Stay genuinely hands-on: coding, integrations, testing, deployments, and production support.3. Lead code reviews and pull requests and mentor other Salesforce developers.4. Partner directly with Product Owners across groups like contact center, sales, and marketing - leading technical discovery and discussions, not just taking direction.5. Assist in planning wider development strategy and operations, including implementation of modern practices, assessment of platforms and software, helping decide vendor qualifications, etc.6. Contribute to platform governance, roadmap planning, release management, and continuous improvement.7. Help shape CFA Institute's emerging agentic AI use cases on the Salesforce platform.8.
