Job summary

CFA Institute seeks a Product Manager for Employee Technology to drive the roadmap for employee productivity platforms used by about 1,200 staff. You will translate workplace needs into requirements, support adoption, and advise on licensing and configuration in partnership with the Manager, Employee Technology Portfolio.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Info Security and Cloud Operations, ensuring value delivery and adherence to governance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field.
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, or related analytical work.
  • Foundational knowledge of statistics, data wrangling and visualization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the roadmap for assigned employee technology platforms.
  • Serve as day-to-day point of contact for stakeholder requests and diagnose needs.

Are you a product manager who enjoys turning employee needs into intuitive, effective workplace technology experiences? This role offers the opportunity to help shape a portfolio of productivity and collaboration platforms—including Atlassian, Wrike, Lucid Suite, Zoom, and Slido—used by approximately 1,200 employees. You will partner with stakeholders to define requirements, guide product roadmaps, strengthen adoption, and ensure technology investments deliver meaningful value across CFA Institute.The Product Manager, Employee Technology supports the product roadmap and stakeholder experience for an assigned portion of CFA Institute’s employee productivity and collaboration technology portfolio, spanning platforms such as the Atlassian suite (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Jira Product Discovery), Wrike, Lucid Suite, Camtasia, Zoom and Slido, serving approximately 1,200 employees. This role partners with business stakeholders to translate workplace technology needs into product requirements, supports platform adoption and continuous improvement, and contributes subject-matter expertise on platform capability, licensing and configuration that informs vendor and budget decisions owned by the Manager, Employee Technology Portfolio.This position may be based in approved jurisdictions in the United States. It reports to the Director, SRE and Cyber Hygiene, and is eligible for flexible working arrangements including remote/hybrid.What You’ll DoProduct Strategy & RoadmapSupport the roadmap for an assigned portion of the employee technology portfolio (e.g., collaboration, work management or diagramming platforms), aligning priorities with stakeholder needs and organizational goals.Identify opportunities to improve adoption, usability and value realization across in-scope platforms.Contribute requirements and supporting analysis for business cases on new or expanded platform capability.Stakeholder Consultation & Demand IntakeServe as a day-to-day point of contact for stakeholder requests within assigned platform area(s); diagnose the underlying business need and recommend solutions that use existing capability before new procurement is considered.Partner with Procurement, Information Security, Cloud Operations, People & Culture and business line stakeholders to support intake, review and adoption of workplace technology.Provide consultative support to business stakeholders on configuration, best practice and use of in-scope platforms.Vendor & Platform SupportSupport vendor relationship activities for assigned platforms, including usage and entitlement analysis, and prepare renewal and quote materials for review and negotiation by the Manager, Employee Technology Portfolio.Contribute subject-matter expertise on platform capability, licensing and configuration to inform renewal, consolidation and reclamation decisions made by the Manager.Coordinate vendor-led demonstrations, enablement sessions and migration support for platform enhancements within the assigned area.Product Lifecycle ManagementMaintain and prioritize the backlog for assigned platform area(s) based on stakeholder value, effort and risk.Partner with platform engineering, business analysis and support resources to translate requirements into configuration and delivery; work assignment and prioritization of those resources remains with the Manager.Drive continuous improvement through user feedback, usage data and platform performance trends.Performance & ReportingTrack and report adoption, usage and satisfaction metrics for assigned platforms.Use data to inform roadmap and portfolio recommendations to divisional leadership.Escalate issues of the highest complexity or consequence, such as security, compliance or major vendor riskWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, computer science, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experienceProfessional experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related analytical roleFoundational knowledge of statistics, data wrangling, and visualization using tools such as Excel, SQL, and PythonStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in data preparation and reportingAbility to follow established methods and processes, while recognizing when to escalate novel or ambiguous issuesEffective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to internal stakeholdersStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assigned tasks under close supervisionComfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and CursorAt CFA Institute, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring process. All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, and other factors relevant to the position.
